At SPARC, we believe cannabis can have several positive impacts. The cannabis plant is a medicine, with potent healing powers. Socially, the cannabis community can help lift up other communities. And through responsible cultivation practices, we can be good stewards of the land. It is for these reasons we started Carts for a Cause.
Feel good and do good at the same time.

ABOUT LAST PRISONER PROJECT
UNTIL THE LAST CANNABIS PRISONER IS SET FREE
Last Prisoner Project (LPP) focuses on social justice by release incarcerated cannabis prisoners, given that those acts are now legal. The organization does this through three key criminal justice reform initiatives:
RELEASE & RECORD CLEARING â working to release individuals still incarcerated for victimless cannabis offenses and clearing their records through expungement and clemency
REENTRY PROGRAMS âhelping those released from prison rebuild their lives through reentry programs such as vocational training programs and building pathways to employment
LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY âworking on a federal and state-by-state basis to advocate for social justice measures for cannabis offenders as well as conducting research and analysis on current legislative and regulatory policies
Collectively these programs help cannabis prisoners become âfully freeâ.
WHY WE SUPPORT LAST PRISONER PROJECT
From the beginning, SPARC has always been a strong believer of working with communities and local, state, and federal governments to correct unjust and unfair cannabis policies. SPARC also works to support those most affected by those policies.
At the federal level, SPARC was the first official member of the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA), the leading organization advocating for a responsible cannabis industry. SPARC founder Erich Pearson proudly served on the NCIA board from 2010 to 2020, much of that time alongside LPP founder Steve DeAngelo.
SPARC is also a proud supporter of several Social Equity programs that directly benefit those most impacted by the War on Drugs. SPARCâs Social Equity Resource Center is a resource for the cannabis community, andâby spotlighting the Social Equity Brands we proudly supportâwe encourage our customers to get to know these great brands and their owners.
With the LPP Carts for a Cause cartridge, weâre happy to our long fight to correct the wrongs of unjust and unfair cannabis policies.
ABOUT LIVING BEYOND BREAST CANCER
WISDOM, SUPPORT, TRUTH, & HOPE
Living Beyond Breast Cancer (LBBC) is a national nonprofit organization that seeks to create a world that understands there is more than one way to have breast cancer. Their mission is to provide trusted information and a community of support to those impacted by the disease. They do so by offering in-person experiences and on-demand emotional, practical, and evidence-based content that is meaningful to those newly diagnosed, in-treatment, post-treatment, and living with metastatic disease. They are committed to creating a culture of acceptanceâwhere sharing the diversity of the lived experience of breast cancer fosters self-advocacy and hope.
WHY WE SUPPORT LIVING BEYOND BREAST CANCER
This charity was chosen by one of our team members who recently survived a rare form of breast cancer. We want to remind you that breast cancer is not gender-specific; while 1 in 8 women will experience breast cancer in their lifetime, it can occur across the gender spectrum. If you have breast tissue, regular self exams are a must.

Through our partnership with the SF LGBT Center, we celebrate the rich history of our community, honor the resilience and diversity of its members, and help foster belonging and empathy for those who are most marginalized. In doing so, we affirm our commitment to equity, respect, and empowerment for all. Weâre proud to stand with the SF LGBT Center in its mission to connect our community to opportunities and resources, ensuring that the next generation can continue to flourish in a place they can call home.
We can be the light that radiates kindness, especially toward those who need it most. We can be the light that illuminates knowledge. That defuses falsehoods and stereotypes with veracity and truth. We can be the light that brightens a way forward. That reveals, not just for ourselves, but for all in our community who are earnest, the path to invention and innovation. To understanding and enlightenment. To the start of something even better. And always good.
